Watch Thor vs Eddie 3/19/22 Preview

After a first attempt and a postponement, the former strongmen will face each other in the ring in March… And this is all we already know.

After almost two years, a lot of cross talk and a freak accidental bicep injury that led to a postponement, the biggest fight in the world finally has a date. Former World’s Strongest Man winners Britain’s Eddie Hall and Iceland’s Hafthor Björnsson have already chosen a date for their highly anticipated boxing match. Both rivals have shared Instagram posts with details of the contest, confirming plans to hold the event in March announced earlier this week.

The duel between Hall and Björnsson will take place on March 19, 2022 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in the United Arab Emirates. Core Sports, the promotion that organizes the event, also shared the promotional post on Instagram. We already know almost all the details, including the poster and how to see it; It will be broadcast exclusively on the Segi streaming platform.

When will Eddie Hall and Hafthor Björnsson fight?

Barring any further unexpected delays, Eddie Hall and Hafthor Björnsson will square off on Saturday, March 19 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in the United Arab Emirates. Coverage of the event is scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm EST (12:30 pm PST). Unlike other big boxing events, there is no undercard, meaning no other bouts are scheduled beforehand.

Where can you see the fight between Eddie Hall and Hafthor Björnsson

Unlike most fights that take place, you won’t have to open your wallet to pay to watch the fight live. The fight is available in a free broadcast on the Segi TV platform. Along with the match, you will be able to watch various short documentaries about the competitors and their feud before they square off in the ring.

How you can follow the fight in the preview

For more information ahead of the match, both Hall and Björnsson have been active on social media in connection with the event. Core Sports, the promoter of the fight, is also sharing content related to the fight through its social channels. You can also watch the “Road to the Ring” documentary segments before the match on Segi TV.

Details of the fight between Hafthor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall

The fight will consist of six rounds of three minutes. Both fighters will wear 12-ounce gloves and there will be a referee to control the fact. Three judges will score the fight if it gets there, meaning no fighter gets a knockout.

Personal galling rights aside, there is a parallel stance between Hall and Björnsson. After a quirky challenge in which the loser would donate $100,000 to the winner’s chosen charity, the couple agreed to donate $200,000 of their respective scholarships. Björnsson similarly challenged Hall to a tattoo stance, where the loser of the fight must get a permanent tattoo of the victor’s name. The respective tattoos must perceive as described below:

  • Eddie Hall, if he were to lose – “The strongest man in the world: Hafthor Julius Björnsson”
  • Hafthor Björnsson, if he were to lose — “The strongest man in the world: Eddie Hall”

Hall vs. Bjornsson: Undercard

The undercard will see more exhibition fights. Josh Bridges, former Navy Seal and elite Cross Games athlete, will take on CrossFit’s complete rival, Jacob Heppner. Meanwhile, dumbbell raise world record holder Stefi Cohen will make her debut in boxing against undefeated galliform heavyweight fighter Avril Mathie.
