Watch NJPW Windy City Riot Preview

New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) will hold this next Saturday a great event in the United States this Saturday, April 16, entitled “WINDY CITY RIOT” . The show will take place from the Oedum Expo Center in Chicago and will be broadcast live on FITE TV and New Japan World, broadcasting as PPV (Pay-Per-View).

There is already a date for Jon Moxley’s return to NJPW. The wrestler from Ohio will return to the Japanese company at the event on April 16 at the Windy City Riot event that will take place at the Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park, Illinois. Moxley’s return to the Japanese company was announced through a promotion of the fighter on the company’s Twitter account.

During the promo, Moxley named several of the big names in the company, however, he claimed that he was the boogeyman of NJPW. The fighter ended the promo by stating that no one could be called the best while he was working in the shadows. Moxley’s rival for the event is not known, however, the fighter asked the company to take him to the best he had.

The last time Moxley wrestled in NJPW was at the NJPW Strong tapings in October. The fighter teamed up with Eddie Kingston to face the alliance of Lance Archer and Minoru Suzuki in a Philadelphia Street. The fight ended up being carried by the former NJPW tag team champions in what it meant in Moxley’s last fight in the company. The fighter combined his career in AEW with his career in NJPW where he had two resins with the IWGP United States Heavyweight Title. Moxley’s first reign lasted 130 days and took place in 2019, the reign ended by decision of NJPW after Moxley was unable to defend the title due to Typhoon Hagibis. The second reign, which is the longest in the history of the title, since it caught the covid pandemic in between, lasted 564 days.
