In the main event of Saturday’s Showtime Championship Boxing pay-per-view at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, FL, Omar Figueroa Jr. will take on Sergey Lipinets in a reckless WBC “super” heavyweight title eliminator. to 12 rounds. The telecast begins at 8:00 pm ET, with both fighters parading to the ring for the main event around 11:00 pm ET.

Figueroa was originally awake to antagonize Adrien Broner, but the fullback pulled out of the fight earlier this week, citing a lack of focus on his sanity. Instead, former junior welterweight champion Lipinets will fill the circumstance for him.

Figueroa enters this competition with a career record of 28-2-1. The two losses are the most recent fights for him, losing to Yordenis Ugas by coincidental dare in July 2019 before losing to Abel Ramos by striker in May 2021. Lipinets, meanwhile, enters Saturday’s fight with a record 16 -2-1. Most recently, he fell in April 2021 by KO against Jaron Ennis.
