Lightweight Cleiton Predador will have a golden opportunity on his return to the BRAVE Combat Federation. Former champion of the event, the Minas Gerais native counted on the departure of Amin Ayoub and will face the Kyrgyz Abdisalam Kubanychbek for the interim belt of the biggest MMA organization in the Middle East.
Cleiton Predador would initially face Kamil Magomedov in a match valid for the main card of BRAVE CF 57, which takes place in Bahrain on March 11th. However, with the departure of Ayoub, he was summoned to duel with Kubanychbek. The winner will have an appointment with Ahmed Amir, linear champion, who is recovering from injury.
Interestingly, Predador debuted at BRAVE CF with a victory over Amir himself, who now holds the promotion’s lightweight belt. After beating him, Cleiton Predador won two more victories, which placed him as champion under 70kg. However, in his first defense, the Brazilian was defeated by Amin Ayoub (who would later lose the title to Amir).
His opponent became one of the most feared names in lightweight after debuting at BRAVE CF 32 in late 2019. Since then, Kubanychbek has racked up four victories, with all triumphs coming fast.
BRAVE CF 57 will take place on March 11 at the Khalifa Sports City Arena, Bahrain, and will feature three title shots. In the main duel, local hero Hamza Kooheji faces Brad Katona for the vacant bantamweight title. In the co-main event, middleweight champion Mohammad Fakhreddine faces rival Mohamed Said Maalem in a fight for the vacant light heavyweight belt.
Brazil will be represented in the main fights with Cleiton Predador facing Kubanychbek for the interim lightweight title. Besides him, Luis Felipe Dias, PRVT representative, will make his debut in the organization in a super welterweight duel against Nursulton Ruziboev.
