Watch Luha Underground Online All the information, results and news from Lucha Underground, the wrestling series that airs on El Rey Network and Netflix.

The Lucha Underground Championship was a professional wrestling world championship  owned by Lucha Underground . The championship is the promotion’s top championship and is usually contested in professional wrestling matches , in which participants execute scheduled finishes rather than direct competition .The championship was featured in episode 8 (“A Unique Chance”) taped on October 4, 2014 and broadcast on December 17, 2014, and the first champion was determined in episode 9 (“Aztec Warfare”) which was taped . on October 5, 2014 and broadcast on television on January 7, 2015. The final champion was Jake Strong , who won the title on the last episode of Lucha Underground .

As this was a professional wrestling championship, the championship was not won through actual competition, but through a scripted ending to a match determined by the bookers and match creators . Occasionally, a championship will be declared vacant by the promotion, meaning there is no champion at the time. This can be due to storyline,  or real life issues, such as a champion suffering from an injury and unable to defend the championship,  or leaving the company.

Lucha Underground (originally Lucha: Uprising) was a professional wrestling based television series produced by One Three Media. The weekly television series aired on the El Rey Network, featuring professional wrestlers from Mexican wrestling promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) as well as the American independent circuit.
